April Rotary Meeting - Leandro Pettino from YouthCare

Leandro will discuss the services YouthCare provides for survivors of sex trafficking and identify opportunities that our club may have for future service projects to benefit YouthCare.

Leandro Pettino is a Program Manager for the Specialized Services team at YouthCare, a Seattle-based nonprofit and a first-generation Latin American Immigrant. Leandro started six years ago as an educational aide in the Office of Refugee Resettlement Program. He became a Community Advocate and eventually a Program Manager for his current team, which focuses on serving survivors of sex and labor trafficking, sexual abuse or assault, and domestic violence. Leandro is an active member of the King County CSEC Task Force and the Bridge Collaborative, which includes staff from OPS, REST, and Friends of Youth. Leandro holds a BS in Psychology and was recently accepted into an MSW program, which will begin in September.
